FOCUS on Jesus.
SHARE His love.
POINT others to Him.
Rooted in Matthew 6:33, The Kingdom Run is all about Jesus. Every detail of the race is intentionally designed to point people to Him and to share the gospel. From worship music that fills the air and scripture verses along the course to the pre-race prayer and faith-filled race swag, the Kingdom Run creates an opportunity for each participant to encounter the love of Jesus in a real way.
We want every person to feel seen and to know they are loved – not just by those around them, but by the God who created them. We believe God is already at work in people’s hearts and that when we gather in Jesus’ name, He moves in powerful ways. Whether running, walking, volunteering or cheering from the sidelines, our prayer is the same: that people come for a race but leave having encountered the life-changing love and hope of Jesus.
The Kingdom Run isn’t about times, trophies or finish lines – it’s about what God does in people’s hearts along the way. We run this race not for our own glory, but for Jesus – the Savior who ran to us first. Join us in running with purpose – for His glory, for His Kingdom and for every heart that needs His love.

HOW DID THE KINGDOM RUN GET STARTED?
In 2024, Mountain Christian Church celebrated its 200th anniversary by giving $200 to 130 individuals across its campuses through an initiative called Kingdom Assignments. Recipients were challenged to use the funds to advance God’s kingdom both locally and globally. Among them was Kate Schwab, Race Director for The Kingdom Run, who used her gift to launch this race—a project she had long felt called to begin. This opportunity made it clear that 2024 was the year to step out in faith and take action.

OUR VISION
The Kingdom Run exists to be a catalyst for transformation, where every runner, walker, volunteer, and spectator encounters the love and hope of Jesus. Our vision is to create a vibrant, Christ-centered legacy event that multiplies its impact year after year—drawing people closer to Jesus, fueling local ministries, and advancing God’s kingdom in Harford County and beyond.
Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness,
and all these things will be given to you as well.
Matthew 6:33 NIV

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:31 NIV
